Still in the DC airport and wishing I could hold him again.

Happy in the morning

April 3rd, 2011

One of the best things about spending an overnight with Quinn is hanging out with him in the early morning. He’s so happy.

What a great time

I love yams!

April 1st, 2011

Been a while since an update, but April in DC with Quinn seems a good time to start. Can’t believe how much he’s grown in 6 weeks since we saw him last. You can also hope over to my Vimeo site and see some video of him jumping.

Watch you like a hawk!

July 31st, 2010

Just got back from a whirlwind trip to LA and came back to find a pair of hawks that have apparently taken up residence in my neighbor’s tree. We see them fly around during the day, but they always seem to be in the top of this tree just looking for something small to eat.

Easter Sunday, 2010

April 30th, 2010

While we were back in Washington, DC last month, this is how I spent my Easter Sunday morning. Very sobering and meaningful. They just go on and on….

Happy Birthday Brinn!

April 14th, 2010

Spent a wonderful evening last night in Oakland seeing Mark Knopfler as a celebrations of Brinn’s birthday. He is probably my all-time favorite guitarist, so understated, fluid and incredibly melodic. Plus hearing “Romeo and Juliette” (one of the most romantic songs ever written) was a great bonus. The concert took place at the Paramount Theater in Oakland, easily the finest remaining example of art deco theater on the West Coast, if not the entire country. It was a truely fabulous evening – except maybe for the midnight drive home. Here’s some photos from the theatre – unfortunately all I had was the camera phone. But then they say that the best camera is the one you have with you…

Golden Twilight

April 11th, 2010

On this dreary Sunday afternoon in California, my thoughts return to where I was just a week ago, with Chris, Kevin and Sabrina, stuffing ourselves with crab on Solomons Pier on the Chesapeake Bay in Eastern Virginia Maryland. It was a magical moment.

Look who’s shopping at the baby store!

April 5th, 2010

We’ve been having wonderful week in Washington, DC with Kevin and Sabrina, made all the more special with the news that they’re expecting. We were excited to have been able to share this news with them in person, and so very happy for them. More details to follow later, I’m sure.
